Senator Prince Bassey Otu, the Cross River State consensus governorship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has sent a thank you message to the people of the state.
In his message on Wednesday, Senator Prince Bassey Otu expressed gratitude to all his fellow governorship aspirants for their understanding, cooperation and sacrificial love for our dear State and Party.
The message reads, “My Dear Cross Riverians,
“A couple of days ago, the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, ably led by our dear Governor, Senator Prof. Ben Ayade, together with the State Party Chairman and all governorship aspirants met to decide on who will become our Party’s tlag bearer, as we prepare for the 2023 general elections.
“By sheer grace, fate and the will of God and the people, I emerged as the consensus candidate to fly our Party’s flag at the polls.
“That decision would never have been possible without the strong leadership of our dear and amiable Governor, the Party Chairman, Barr. Alphonsus Eba, and
his EXCO, Party Elders, as well as other aspirants.
“Wish to pay my honest and sincere respect and debt of gratitude to all my fellow governorship aspirants for their understanding, cooperation and sacrificial love for our dear State and Party.
“We all emerged victorious from the meeting and will win together in the forthcoming governorship election.
“I am grateful to all Cross Riverians for their extreme show of love, since the
news of my emergence became public.
“It is obvious that our people are willing and ready for consolidation and further progress to propel us all to higher neignts.
“As we prepare for the general elections, I urge all Cross Riverians to go out in their numbers, register and obtain their Permanent Voters Card which is our most powerful weapon.
“In no distant time, plans for our dear state shall be unveiled accordingly.
“We however, assure our vibrant and very intelligent young men, women and all others that, in every step we take towards realizing our collective dream, they will be actively involved with the promise of full participation in the governance
and management of our commonwealth.
“Our people are willing, able and ready to work for thee continuation of our collective developmental aspirations by massively supporting me to achieve victory in the forthcoming Elections.
“Thank you”, Senator Prince Bassey Otu said in his message to the people of the state.
