G74 Enugu Appoints CNPP Scribe As Patron, Pledges Continued Support for Democracy
The Secretary General of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), Chief Willy Ezugwu, has been appointed as the Patron of the the G74 Enugu, a formidable sociopolitical association of 74 State Chairmen of defunct political parties in Enugu State.
The appointment was communicated to the CNPP Secretariat in a “letter of appreciation and appointment as Patron Of the G74”, which was address to the CNPP scribe and jointly signed by the group’s Chairman, Pst. PraiseGod Edeh and the secretary, Martins Chiedozie Ugwu.
According to the letter sighted by our correspondent and dated July 31, 2022, the group described themselves as “partners in promoting democracy, peace and development of our dear state”.
The G74 Enugu stated that they “are writing to appreciate your efforts towards a better society, especially in Enugu State, and to let you know that G74 will continue to support and promote good governance in the State in any way possible in our efforts to contribute to the deepening of democracy and promotion of peace and development.
“This commitment has been examplified in the state since 2015 as we are set to continue to support all pro-masses administrations in Enugu State to engender good governance.
“Finally sir, we equally write to inform you of your appointmet as the Patron of this noble association.
“This is in recognition of your ability and capability to direct us in line with our aims and objectives, which are geared towards building lasting peace, development, and a hitch free elections, especially as we prepare for the 2023 general elections”, the G74 Enugu’s letter read.
