The presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayo has spoken to 1on stepping down for another candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections
Speaking with men of the pen in Ibadan at the conclusion of the party’s two-day stakeholders summit themed, โSouth West summit for critical stakeholders with the theme โCommon interest and strategic approach for 2023,โ Prince Adebayo stated that the SDP has no plans to merge with any of the countryโs political parties.
Nigerians, according to Prince Adebayo, are tired of both the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the All Progressives Congress (APC) alleged misrule, which prompted the SDP to enter the fray.
The SDP Presidential candidate maintained that his party is โin the race to lift Nigerians out of poverty,โ adding, โWe are in the race because there are no good schools, no healthcare services, no roads.โ
โSDP is not in alliance with any political party. SDP is not stepping down for any political party, but if we have any political party that want to join us, they can join us. But, SDP is contesting this election,โ he noted.
