HAPPY SUNDAY: Don’t Be Fate Foolish For Faith

Spread the love

1Cor 1:27 (KJV) But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

That was the scripture a Bible school lecturer chose to use to push his support for a particular candidate while teaching on prayer and the prophetic.

He further opined that it takes more than bearing the name of a disciple of Christ to be adjudged the choice of God in the coming election. To which a student answered, but what do you do when other candidates haven’t shown honour to God and respect for His people in conduct, words, body language and manifesto? The lecturer inadvertently agrees to the foolishness and weaknesses of his candidate, that however is not my pick in this debate.

My interest is the division of the class that followed the debate, 80% of the class followed the student who spoke out against the subtlety of satan in a lecture theater. With the lecturer losing leadership of the class at that moment to the student.

This of course is the waiting reality of many church leaders who are active in the political space for personal benefits to themselves, family and CHURCH BUILDING at the expense of the generality of their church members and other citizens who are bearing the brunt of the foolishness of “Church rats eating the holy communion”, that waved due diligence and awarded Certificate of Occupancy to Churches indiscriminately for example on water ways.

Agreed the flooding issue is a global thing but Netherlands as a country is a sand filled nation sitting on water and has not been taking over by the global flood phenomenon because due diligence was done and building codes were respectfully observed, put Netherlands side by side the city of the City Boy, which happens to be nature’s appointed entrance point of all the water currents flowing from upland Nigeria into the Atlantic through the Lagoon. Any diversion of water channels will automatically spell doom for the city but there are mega churches sitting on water ways for foolishness of the fools who priced winning elections over the welfare and wellbeing of citizens.

Painfully, you hardly will find a mosque standing on a water way in his city, but it is Muslims and Christians who are paying the price while mosques and churches are floating along on flood in the city of the City Boy. He, indeed has been generous to the church dashing out Church building certificate of occupancy to pastors on their birthdays, to which the oath of foolishness; God will not forgive us if we don’t vote the rat/bird creature in the race to power. They careless if you drown on the land and washed into the Lagoon!

Abimbola Estate in New Oko Oba/Abule-Egba like many others on the same low land corridor serviced by abattoir channelization were flooded because the canal of pride built by the City Boy has given way. The pain is felt down the way to Aboru and beyond by landlords who have become tenants, and tenant squatters, residents practically are sacked and have to relocate from the corridor.

Nothing dimmed hope for the residents along the corridor than the pace of work, lack of expertise and experience being shown by the Contractor to whom the present Administration awarded the contract, they were seen recently protesting the slow pace and sordid job being done by the contractor at the Lagos state House of Assembly. We can only hope that their votes will follow their protest to change ultimate the order bathing system mediocrity in the state.

My advice to Pastors and Bible Schools Lecturers is to please keep their bond in foolish things between them and their partners in foolishness.

Christianity is not about buildings but people, trading out people for building will be paid for in the coming election.

Gap is established between the old order of tribal thinking, self seeking church leadership and its global thinking, considerate generation of followers by the scenario that played out in the lecture theater of this Bible School endorsing the reality of the craving of our youthful generation to whom the future belongs, who were screaming in excitement as a particular candidate moved from church to church. Their reaction for me is beyond faith, rather, it is informed by fate and the need to faithfully change the order of politics and leadership engagement.

And just before quoting 1 Cor 1:27, to support your political conviction, please, cross reference with other scriptures for God has never made His mind known by isolating a verse, but in lines upon lines, scriptures upon scriptures, a little here and there. For as matters are established through the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses. Truth of the scripture must follow the same pattern, not too far from our lecturer’s foolish choice is a call to discernment in:

1Cor 2:14 KJV But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are FOOLISHNESS unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (Emphasis mine).

What can you as a Christian discern from the Spirit of God by the understanding of the word in context of your present situation in your Ward, Local Government, State and Nation? Let that guide you beyond political communication of pastors on the pulpit and Bible School lecturers and hired political marketers who are in secret societies with politicians to keep the people oppressed in a nation with enough for all.
