Tinubu Meets Wike, El-Rufai in Aso Villa

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and the ex-Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Both former governors arrived the seat of power separately.
Recall that the duo made the ministerial nomination list transmitted by the President to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria recently.
However, while Wike was screened and confirmed by the Senate, El-Rufai had his confirmation deferred for lack of security clearance.
The former Kaduna governor was also at the presidential villa on Tuesday as he ostensibly to seek for a way out of the confirmation logjam.
While Wike arrived the Presidential Villa at about 1:40pm, El-Rufai entered the presidential wing of Aso Rock around 20 minutes later.
The reason for the meeting is unclear but sources at the Presidential Villa, according to reports, hinted that efforts are being made to ensure that the Senate confirms the former Governor of Kaduna State.
