Senator Okey Ezea Gets First Constituency Project As FG Commences Rehabilitation Of 9th Mile – Opi Expressway

The people of Enugu North and Enugu State are currently in general jubilation as the Federal Government has listened to the consistent cries of the senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District the Senate, Senator Okey Ezea on the need to rehabilitate 9th Mile – Opi Expressway.
The road is a major connection between the North and the East as well as South-South.
Recall that Senator Okey Ezea had raised a motion seeking the federal government’s intervention on the deplorable condition of the road linking Opi and 9th Mile on the floor of the Senate.
The Senator, while detailing the need for federal government to intervene on that road, noted that a lot of lives have been lost, goods worth billions of naira damaged as a result of the bad condition of the federal road.
He further explained that previous administrations did not really pay attention to the road which have worsened the situation of the road.
However, the Senate directed the ministry of works to commence work on the road immidiately.
Senator Okey Ezea, a lawyer, who visited the project site at Ozalla, urged the good people of Enugu State, and Enugu North in particular, to remain calm and prayerful as the journey for a new Enugu North has just begun.
