Day Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo Presented N582.4 Billion 2025 Budget Estimates to State Assembly
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State on Tuesday presented the 2025 budget estimates to the Kogi State House of Assembly. The proposed budget totals N582,404,119.489, representing a 43.34% increase from the revised 2024 budget.
The 2025 budget estimates aim to address key sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and economic development. Governor Ododo emphasized that the budget is designed to stimulate job creation, infrastructure development, food security, and staff welfare.
The Kogi State House of Assembly will review and deliberate on the proposed budget. As the legislative arm of the government, the Assembly plays a crucial role in shaping the state’s financial landscape. Their thorough examination and approval of the budget will pave the way for its implementation in the coming year.
Rt. Hon. Umar Yusuf, Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, expressed appreciation for the Governor’s efforts in creating an enabling environment for legislation. He urged heads of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to comply with the budget approval to enhance socioeconomic development in the state.
