Team MBM Political Movement, a formidable grassroots group, led by Mallam Bello Muhammed, who is popularly known as MBM in the Kogi State political circles, has commemorated the first anniversary of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration, saying that the Governor has marked a year of unprecedented achievements across various sectors and geopolitical zones of Kogi State.
The group compromises of members of different opposition political parties in the state, mainly from the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), African Democratic Congress (ADC), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and some earlier aggrieved members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who had pinched tents with different opposition parties, especially the SDP, before the Saturday, November 11, 2023 Kogi State governorship election.
Recall that members of the group cross-carpeted to the ruling All Progressives Congress ahead of the polls and worked for the emergence of the current administration in the state.
According a statement by it leader, Team MBM noted that Governor Ododo has demonstrated exceptional capacity and doggedness in ensuring that the lives of Kogi citizens get better.
The group maintained that his administration has achieved groundbreaking feats in agriculture, healthcare, education, and infrastructure development, making him a beacon of hope and a unifying force for the people of Kogi State.
The statement observed that the Governor’s commitment to youth empowerment and job creation has been particularly impressive, with innovative programs designed to equip young people with skills, funding, and opportunities to thrive. These initiatives, they added, have not only reduced unemployment but have also positioned Kogi as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Team MBM praised Governor Ododo’s exemplary leadership, stating that he has “demonstrated unparalleled leadership and a deep commitment to the progress and prosperity of the state.”
It stated that the administration’s focus on social investment programs, infrastructure, human capital development, and inclusive governance has earned him widespread acclaim.
The group also acknowledged the solid foundation laid by former Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, who first recognized Governor Ododo’s leadership qualities and paved the way for his successor’s remarkable achievements. Team MBM expressed gratitude to the people of Kogi State for voting overwhelmingly for Governor Ododo and promised continued support for his administration.
As Governor Ododo celebrates his first year in office, Team MBM hailed his leadership as a “case study for others to emulate.” The group emphasized that the Governor’s achievements are a testament to his commitment to the people of Kogi State and his vision for a brighter future.
Team MBM stated that Governor Ododo “is simply the best thing that has happened to Kogi State in decades”, insisting that “His exemplary leadership and achievements have set a new standard for governance in the state, and his administration’s commitment to the people of Kogi State is unwavering.”
