The Commissioner of Police in charge of the Police Airwing, Martins Nwogoh, has decorated eleven newly promoted officers serving in the Police Airwing with their new ranks.
The decoration ceremony, which took place on February 16, 2026, at the Police Hangar, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, marked the elevation of the officers from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).

Speaking during the ceremony, CP Nwogoh congratulated the officers on their well-deserved promotions, describing them as recognition of their dedication, hard work, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties. He noted that the elevation was a testament to their commitment to service and adherence to the core values of the police profession.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of discipline, respect for human rights, and community-oriented policing, urging the newly promoted officers to regard their advancement as a call to greater responsibility.

He charged them to demonstrate renewed commitment and sustained efforts toward ensuring the safety and security of lives and property in the course of their assignments.
The event was attended by senior officers and personnel of the Police Airwing, who witnessed the decoration and commended the promoted officers for their service and contributions to policing operations.
