The National leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has intensified its nationwide mobilisation drive, receiving key stakeholders from Gombe and Nasarawa States, alongside youth representatives and aspirants from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), in a series of strategic engagements aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots presence and consolidating its growing political momentum.
At a high-level meeting held as part of ongoing consultations, the NDC leadership hosted a delegation from Gombe State led by the National Vice Chairman, Dr. Danlami Arabs, and the National Women Leader, Mrs. Dudu Manuga, accompanied by other party officials.
The visit also featured the formal presentation of a gubernatorial aspirant, Dr. Babayo Ardo, who engaged in discussions with the national leadership on the party’s direction and electoral prospects in the state.
The leadership expressed satisfaction with the progress recorded in Gombe, commending state officials for their commitment while urging them to intensify mobilisation efforts across all local government areas.
In a related development, the party received a delegation from Nasarawa State led by the State Chairman, Hon. Dogo Shammah, a former Commissioner for Information who recently defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the NDC.
He was accompanied by the State Secretary, Hon. Osokunu, himself a former council chairman. The Nasarawa delegation provided what the leadership described as a positive and encouraging briefing on the party’s growth trajectory in the state. 
The national leadership praised their efforts, noting that the state chapter is making significant strides, and encouraged them to sustain and deepen mobilisation activities.
The engagements also extended to the Federal Capital Territory, where a delegation of young and enthusiastic party members met with the leadership alongside a House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Jesse Williams Ejemot.
The visit underscored the rising involvement of youth within the party’s structure and its openness to new entrants. The leadership reiterated its commitment to inclusivity, emphasizing that the NDC remains open to all aspirants, particularly young people and women, who are eager to contribute to national transformation.
Addressing the delegations collectively, the NDC leadership called for intensified voter registration and grassroots engagement, urging members to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to expand the party’s reach. It highlighted the ongoing nationwide membership registration exercise as a critical pathway for Nigerians seeking political participation and change.
The party reaffirmed its vision of building a strong, inclusive, and people-driven political movement capable of delivering tangible progress and responsive governance. It also expressed appreciation to Nigerians for their growing confidence in the NDC, describing the expanding support base as a reflection of the public’s desire for a credible alternative in the nation’s political landscape.
