ABUJA, NIGERIA — Women in Business and Politics (WBP) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of the mother of the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, extending heartfelt condolences to the minister and her family during this period of mourning.
The organization conveyed its sympathies in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Hassie Oyama, following the passing of the minister’s mother, whose burial was conducted in accordance with Islamic rites.
According to the statement, the group received news of the matriarch’s demise with profound sadness and joined family members, friends and associates in mourning her loss.
Women in Business and Politics said it stands in solidarity with Musawa and her loved ones, describing the death of a mother as one of life’s most painful experiences and an irreplaceable loss.
The organization prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and asked Almighty Allah to grant her eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus while giving the bereaved family the strength, comfort and fortitude to bear the loss.
“As an organization committed to celebrating and supporting women in leadership, business and governance, we share in her grief and offer our sincere sympathies during this period of mourning,” the statement read.
The group also commended Musawa’s contributions to public service and national development, noting that her commitment to leadership and governance continues to inspire women across Nigeria.
Speaking on behalf of the organization, Coordinator of Women in Business and Politics, Hassie Oyama, described the death of the minister’s mother as a painful loss and prayed for divine comfort for the family.
“On behalf of Women in Business and Politics Nigeria, I extend my deepest sympathies to Honourable Hannatu Musawa and her family. The loss of a mother is one of life’s most difficult experiences. We pray that Almighty Allah grants her eternal rest and gives the family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss,” Oyama said.
She further expressed hope that the cherished memories of the deceased would serve as a source of comfort to the family in the days ahead.
The condolence message adds to the growing outpouring of sympathy from individuals and organizations across the country who have identified with the minister and her family following the loss of their beloved matriarch.
