In a moving reflection titled “A Missive to Ayonder,” Izeze recounted decades of friendship with Kotor, tracing their relationship through family ties, shared experiences and Kotor’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people.

According to Izeze, the late Kotor devoted much of his life to pursuing development projects for Okwagbe Community, persistently advocating for improved infrastructure, educational facilities and other social amenities.

He recalled how Kotor repeatedly pressed for the extension of road projects to Okwagbe and championed the inclusion of community needs in government development plans.

The commissioner noted that many of the projects Kotor passionately pursued are now becoming reality, including ongoing internal road development in Okwagbe and interventions in public institutions within the community.

Describing him as a man whose love for Okwagbe, Ukpedi Sub-Clan, Ughievwen Kingdom and Urhobo Nation remained unwavering throughout his lifetime, Izeze said Kotor’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations.

He also paid tribute to the late community leader’s devotion to family, acknowledging the roles being played by his siblings and children in sustaining the values he cherished.

“Your love for Okwagbe Community, Ukpedi Sub-Clan, Ughievwen Kingdom and Urhobo Land is a worthy legacy that your children will be proud to uphold,” Izeze wrote.

The tribute concluded with a farewell message, praying for the peaceful repose of Kotor’s soul and celebrating a life devoted to service, friendship and community development.
