The Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group has declared that the vision and leadership agenda of Senator Garba Yakubu Lado Danmarke represent a new hope for Katsina State ahead of the 2027 governorship election, expressing confidence that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate possesses the capacity to address the state’s security, economic and developmental challenges.
The position of the group was contained in a statement signed by its spokesman, Abubakar Usman, in which it argued that Katsina State needs experienced and courageous leadership capable of delivering practical and lasting solutions to the numerous challenges confronting the state.
According to the statement, “With the 2027 governorship election drawing closer, Garba Yakubu Lado Danmarke continues to inspire confidence among many Katsina residents who believe the state deserves a new era of security, prosperity, and people-centered governance.”
The group noted that Senator Lado Danmarke’s emergence as the PDP governorship candidate has renewed optimism among many residents who are yearning for improved security, economic prosperity and inclusive governance.
“Supporters say the challenges confronting Katsina—particularly insecurity, unemployment, poverty, and inadequate infrastructure—require experienced and courageous leadership capable of delivering practical and lasting solutions,” the statement said.
Security and Peace as Top Priorities
The Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group identified insecurity as one of the most pressing issues facing Katsina State and said Senator Lado Danmarke’s vision places the restoration of peace and security at the centre of his developmental agenda.
“At the heart of Senator Lado Danmarke’s vision is a comprehensive strategy to tackle insecurity by strengthening collaboration between security agencies, supporting community-based intelligence, investing in surveillance technology, improving logistics for security personnel, and addressing the socio-economic factors that fuel banditry and other criminal activities,” the group stated.
According to the statement, restoring peace across communities would create the enabling environment needed for economic activities to thrive once again.
“They believe restoring peace across communities will enable farmers to return safely to their farmlands, revive commerce, and stimulate economic growth,” the statement added.
The group maintained that effective security measures are critical to reviving agricultural activities and attracting investments to the state, which has in recent years been plagued by banditry and attacks on rural communities.
Agricultural Development and Economic Revival
The group further stated that agriculture remains a key component of Senator Lado Danmarke’s vision for Katsina State, noting that strategic investments in the sector could transform the state’s economy and make it a major food production hub.
According to the statement, supporters of the PDP governorship candidate “envision an administration that will prioritize agriculture through improved access to farm inputs, irrigation, rural roads, storage facilities, and agricultural financing, making Katsina a leading hub for food production and agribusiness.”
The group argued that expanding agricultural opportunities would boost food security, create jobs and improve livelihoods across rural communities.
Youth Empowerment and Employment Opportunities
The Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group also highlighted youth development as a critical component of the proposed agenda, stressing that young people must be equipped with the skills and opportunities needed to contribute meaningfully to the state’s development.
“Recognizing the importance of youth development, Senator Lado Danmarke is expected to champion policies that expand vocational training, entrepreneurship, digital innovation, and employment opportunities, ensuring that young people become drivers of economic transformation rather than victims of unemployment,” the statement read.
The group said investments in entrepreneurship, digital innovation and vocational education would empower young people and reduce the unemployment rate in the state.
Focus on Education, Healthcare and Rural Infrastructure
The statement also underscored the importance of social development, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare and rural infrastructure.
“Healthcare, education, and rural development also feature prominently in the aspirations associated with his campaign. Supporters believe greater investment in schools, primary healthcare centres, clean water, and road infrastructure will improve living standards across all local government areas,” the statement stated.
According to the group, improved access to quality education and healthcare services would significantly enhance the quality of life of residents and ensure balanced development across the state.
Call for Transparency and Inclusive Governance
The group further stressed that accountability and transparency should form the cornerstone of governance in Katsina State.
“They further argue that transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance must form the foundation of government, ensuring that every community has a voice in the state’s development and that public resources are managed responsibly,” the statement said.
The Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group expressed optimism that Senator Lado Danmarke’s candidacy provides an opportunity to unite the people of Katsina around a common agenda of peace, development and economic prosperity.
“As the 2027 election approaches, many believe Senator Garba Yakubu Lado Danmarke represents an opportunity to unite the people of Katsina around a common vision of peace, development, economic prosperity, and hope for future generations,” the statement concluded.
Political observers say the race for the Katsina State Government House is expected to gather momentum in the coming months as political parties intensify preparations for the 2027 general elections.
