ABUJA, NIGERIA – The Benin Summit Group has congratulated newly promoted Assistant Inspectors General of Police, Osagie John Agans Irabor and Betty Enekpen Otimenyin, describing their elevation as a fitting reward for years of exemplary service, professionalism, and dedication to the Nigeria Police Force.
In a statement issued by its Convener, Earl Osaro Onaiwu, the group praised the promotion of the two senior police officers from the rank of Commissioner of Police to Assistant Inspector General of Police, saying the development reflects their outstanding contributions to policing and national security.
According to the group, AIG Osagie John Agans Irabor, currently serving at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Lagos, has distinguished himself through exceptional leadership, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to combating crime and strengthening internal security across the country.
The statement also commended AIG Betty Enekpen Otimenyin for her remarkable service in the Force Welfare Department, where she was credited with championing the welfare of police personnel and their families, thereby contributing significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force.
