ABUJA, NIGERIA — The Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Bauchi State, Hon. Usman Adamu Sufi, as a visionary leader equipped with the experience, integrity and competence required to reposition the state for sustainable economic growth and inclusive development.
In a statement signed by Yerima Sani and made available to journalists, the group said Sufi’s professional background, combined with his commitment to public service and community development, distinguishes him as a leader capable of transforming Bauchi through transparent governance, innovation and people-centred policies.
According to the group, “Great leaders are defined not only by the positions they hold but by the vision they inspire, the integrity they uphold, and the lasting impact they make. For Hon. Usman Adamu Sufi, leadership is a commitment to service, innovation, and building a prosperous future for every citizen.”
The group noted that Sufi’s academic credentials, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bayero University, Kano, have provided a solid foundation for a professional career spanning more than two decades in finance, auditing, taxation, corporate governance and strategic administration.
It added that his work with internationally recognised organisations such as Deloitte & Touche and Julius Berger Nigeria Plc demonstrates “discipline, competence, accountability, and excellence” that would be invaluable in public administration.
The statement stressed that Sufi’s experience in the private sector has strengthened his conviction that effective governance must be driven by transparency, prudent financial management, innovation and measurable outcomes.
“These values have earned him respect within professional circles and strengthened his resolve to bring world-class standards of governance to Bauchi State,” the group stated.
Beyond his corporate achievements, the group said the PDP governorship candidate has consistently demonstrated a passion for humanitarian service, youth empowerment, education and community development.
According to the statement, Sufi believes that “the true strength of any government lies in its ability to improve lives, expand opportunities, and ensure that no citizen is left behind.”
Highlighting his development blueprint, the group said Sufi envisions a Bauchi State with a diversified economy driven by enterprise, agriculture, technology and investment, supported by modern infrastructure, accessible healthcare and quality education.
The statement further emphasised his focus on digital transformation, saying the governorship hopeful intends to position Bauchi as a competitive participant in the global digital economy.
“His vision includes expanding ICT education, establishing innovation and technology hubs, promoting digital entrepreneurship, supporting vocational and technical training, and creating partnerships between government and the private sector to prepare Bauchi’s youth for the opportunities of the global digital economy,” the statement said.
The group also underscored Sufi’s commitment to accountability and institutional reforms, noting that he seeks to strengthen public institutions, improve service delivery and ensure responsible management of public resources.
On agriculture, the statement described the sector as central to Sufi’s economic agenda, saying he advocates increased support for farmers through improved financing, modern farming methods, value-chain development and expanded market access.
According to the group, these interventions would enhance productivity, create employment opportunities and strengthen food security across the state.
The statement said Sufi’s message is anchored on hope, unity and purposeful leadership, expressing confidence that Bauchi possesses the human and natural resources needed to emerge as one of Nigeria’s leading centres of economic growth if guided by visionary leadership.

Reaffirming its support for the PDP governorship candidate, the Fix PDP Fix Nigeria Group concluded that Sufi represents a new generation of leadership committed to delivering measurable results rather than empty promises.
