ABUJA, Nigeria — The Founder and President of the Lamido Chinedu Foundation, Chief Nwoye-Oba Chinedu, popularly known as the Lamido of Africa and Ichie Eze-Oba of Ukpo, Dunukofia, is set to be formally inducted into the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership (CIML), Lexington, Kentucky, USA, in recognition of his outstanding leadership, humanitarian service, and contributions to national development.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. and will take place at the 022 Senate Conference Hall, National Assembly Complex, Abuja, according to details contained in the official invitation released by the Foundation’s Media Team.
The event will be held under the theme, “Transformational Leadership, Legislative Synergy, and Governance Innovation for National Development,” and is expected to attract distinguished personalities from across the country, including legislators, policymakers, traditional rulers, business executives, development partners, professionals, and other stakeholders committed to leadership and governance.
According to a press statement issued by the Lamido Chinedu Foundation, which was signed by Chief Mrs. Ifeyinwa Arafat Ezenwa (Ijele Nwanyi Igbo Nile), Head, Media Team of the foundation, the international recognition acknowledges Chief Nwoye-Oba Chinedu’s sustained commitment to humanitarian service and his unwavering efforts to improve lives through initiatives focused on youth empowerment, educational support, community development, and assistance to vulnerable populations across Nigeria.
The Foundation noted that the honour also reflects his enduring advocacy for visionary leadership, accountability, unity, and sustainable development, values it said have continued to define the activities of the Lamido Chinedu Foundation.
It described the induction as more than a personal achievement for its Founder, saying the recognition affirms the Foundation’s broader mission of promoting compassionate leadership and selfless service as essential drivers of national progress and social transformation.
The Foundation further stated that the honour would strengthen its resolve to expand humanitarian interventions and deepen its impact in communities across Nigeria and the African continent.
Expressing appreciation to the Chartered Institute of Management and Leadership, Lexington, Kentucky, USA, for the recognition, the Foundation said the honour would inspire even greater dedication to ethical leadership, good governance, institutional excellence, and service to humanity.
The Media Team also extended an invitation to members of the media, government officials, traditional rulers, business leaders, development partners, associates, supporters of the Foundation, and members of the public to witness what it described as a landmark occasion.
