A prominent community leader, Chief Charles Orie, has received Dr. Chima Anyaso, the Labour Party candidate for Bende Federal Constituency, during a courtesy visit in Canada.
Dr. Anyaso, who is the Labour Party flagbearer for Bende Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general elections, is currently on a diaspora engagement tour, meeting with indigenes of Abia and Bende in Canada.
The visit provided both leaders an opportunity to discuss issues bordering on the growth and development of Bende Federal Constituency and Abia State at large.
Speaking during the engagement, Anyaso reiterated his commitment to service-driven leadership, with focus on grassroots development, youth empowerment and people-oriented representation if elected to the House of Representatives in 2027.
The diaspora tour, according to his camp, is part of ongoing consultations with Bende and Abia indigenes abroad ahead of the polls.
