The OKAY A NEW NIGERIA loyalty to NDC remains total and unalloyed. The National Coordinator of the movement, Hon. Chibuisi Mba, reaffirmed this position in Abuja on Tuesday. He also charged Nigerians to mobilize for the Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso ticket.
Mba spoke during a strategic grassroots mobilization meeting. He said the group is firmly aligned with the vision and leadership structure of the National Democratic Congress, NDC. He stressed that no distraction will derail its commitment to rescuing Nigeria.
We Are Under NDC, Take Directives From Leadership — Mba
According to Mba, OKAY A NEW NIGERIA is not a fair-weather movement. He described it as a structured and ideological family. Therefore, the group will continue to work under the NDC hierarchy.
“We are under the NDC, we work with the NDC, and we will continue to take directives from the NDC leadership in our collective quest to birth a New Nigeria,” Mba declared.
He said the movement remains disciplined and focused. In addition, he warned against political blackmail and division among support groups.
Door-To-Door Mobilization For Obi-Kwankwaso Ticket
Mba disclosed that the group has activated its coordinators nationwide. The activation covers state, zonal and ward levels. Consequently, intensive door-to-door sensitization has commenced.
He said the focus is on first-time voters, market women, artisans and youths. These groups form the backbone of the Obi-Kwankwaso support base. In addition, voter education will drive the campaign.
He described the Obi-Kwankwaso alliance as credible. According to him, it represents competence, character, capacity and compassion. He called Peter Obi a proven manager of resources with integrity. He also said Engr. Rabiu Kwankwaso brings vast administrative experience and grassroots appeal.
“This is not just about winning an election; it is about saving Nigeria from collapse and restoring hope to the common man,” he said.
Wike Interview Disgraceful, APC Has Nothing To Offer — Group
Reacting to a recent media interview by the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, Mba criticized the outing. He described the interview as disgraceful. He attributed the view to the movement.
He said the interview shows that the APC has nothing to offer Nigerians. According to him, Nigerians want good governance, not media theatrics. Therefore, propaganda and insults cannot replace food, security and jobs.
“If that is what the APC has to show Nigerians after all their failed promises, then it is clear they have run out of ideas,” Mba stated.
He added that the ruling party should account for its stewardship. He cited insecurity, inflation, unemployment and decayed infrastructure as worsening challenges.
Group Urges INEC To Ensure Transparent Polls
Furthermore, Mba urged INEC to ensure a free, fair and transparent process. He called on Nigerian youths not to sell their future for temporary inducements.
He assured that the group will deliver polling units for Obi-Kwankwaso. He said the movement cannot be bought. In addition, it will work in synergy with all organs of the NDC until victory in 2027.
“We are building a movement that will not be bought. OKAY A NEW NIGERIA is committed to delivering every polling unit for Obi-Kwankwaso,” he concluded.
