I Didn’t Walk Out Customs, NSCDC Bosses – Buhari
President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, has disociated nhinself from media reports that he walked out some government officials, who had come to lobby him in order to keep their jobs, from his Daura, Katsina State, residence.
Buhari refuted the report that went viral on social media via a statement released in Abuja by the Director of Media and Publicity of the APC Presidential Campaign, Mallam Garba Shehu, on Wednesday.
He stated that no such incident took place as some online news media (Not The Street Reporters) had falsely reported, indicating that the NSCDC and Customs bosses had visisted the incoming president to lobby him so that they are not laid off.
“’It was a false and an inaccurate presentation of the facts of what transpired when some government officials visited the President-elect at his country home.
“’It is totally out of General Buhari’s character to ask his visitors out’’, it said.
According to Buhari, the alleged visit by the Comptroller-General of Customs, Abdullahi Inde, only happened in the imagination of the said publication, insisting “He did not come visiting at any time.”
