Reps Minority Leader, Ogor flags Off Free ICT Training for Constituents
In a bid to further rid the society of youthful restlessness and all forms of hooliganism, the Minority Leader, House of Representatives and member representing Isoko Federal constituency Hon Leo Ogor has extended a four day free ICT computer based test training for about 5,000 Isoko prospective Jamb candidates who are due for this year’s joint Admission Matriculation Board(JAMB) Examination.
The Federal Lawmaker who proudly sponsored the four days free ICT training on Joint Admission Matriculation Board JAMB, computer based test ICT training was aimed at aiding prospective jamb candidates in Isoko South and North Local Government Areas which he represents in achieving excellent results in the forthcoming examination.
The intensive JAMB Computer Based Test which started on Tuesday February 23, 2016 by the management of Living Lilies Computer World, entered the final day with comprehensive practical aspect of the ICT training.
JAMB CBT might be terrifying especially to those who have not written exams on computer before. Of course, even the few ones who are computer literate, may have setbacks if they lack the experience in computer based test CBT.
One of the Legislative Aides to the Federal Lawmaker, Mr. Akpodhoma Michael Ajirioghene who supervised the program, emphasized that it was better to expose the prospective candidates to such trainings so that they could be useful to themselves during the examination and in the nearest future.
According to him, “The programme lasted for four days and it has exposed them on the usage of ICT during the computer based test.
Some persons might see this as one of those political gatherings, but it is not so, it is the lawmaker’s humble way of helping his constituents to achieve their desired goals.
“You should be a master of your own heart. It is one of those programmes that would help you in life. Education is an equalizer, it would place the rich and the poor at par, without education, most of us would not be where we are today. You must ask questions until you understand what you are being taught.” He said
One of the students Oghenerabome Akpopisi from Otor-Owhe, who spoke during excise thanked the lawmaker for the gesture, while the CEO Living Lilies Computer World, Mr Ede Hyacinth Ewariezi said, what Hon.Leo Ogor is doing was what Chief Obafemi Awolowo did in those days in the Western Region.
“Ogor wants to impact wealth in the young ones so that they can be of good use to their family members in the future. We really commend his kind gestures towards the Isoko people.” He stated.
