Ndokwa Electrification: We’re Employing Dialogue, Engagement for Lasting Result – Osanebi
In line with the biblical injunction which says, “through wisdom is an
house builded; and by understanding it is established”; the Deputy
Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi, has said that need for stable power/electricity in Ndokwa nation via the step down of an independent power plant in Ndokwa land, remains pivotal in his social-economic plans for the people, but insisted that he has chosen dialogue and engagement in the pursuit of same in order to achieve a lasting result.
The Deputy Speaker who made this revelation today in Kwale, during
the reunion of his alma mata , Fundamental Old Student
Association (FOSA), noted that violence and all form of uncivil means
will only delay the realization of this noble aspiration .
“A wise man ones said: Dialogue is a non-confrontational
communication, where both partners are willing to learn from the other
and therefore leads much farther into finding new grounds together.
“We are not a lazy people, we know our right, we know how to fight for
out right, but we have decided to employ dialogue and fruitful
engagement, in tackling the IPP and power challenge in our land”
Osanebi said.
Giving testimony of what he has been able to achieve with dialogue in
this regard, the Deputy Speaker noted that four communities in Ndokwa
land today enjoy steady power supply through the instrumentality of
dialogue and peaceful understanding.
He, therefore, enjoined the people to remain peaceful, that very soon,
Ndokwa land will begin to enjoy steady power supply like the four
communities.
