‘Missing’ Enugu Girl Found Pregnant in Lagos Five Months After
Detectives from Festac Police Station, Lagos state, have disclosed that a teenage girl simply identified as Chidinma who ran away from her family house in Enugu State about five months ago, has been found pregnant in Lagos.
The Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, ASP Aliyu Giwa, confirming the development on Thursday, said the 18-year-old girl was caught at Diamond bank in Festac Lagos on the 12th of February after five months of frantic search by her anxious parents.
“She was however 3 months pregnant by the time detectives picked her up at a branch of Diamond Bank in Amuwo Odofin,” Giwa revealed.
According to Chidinma, “I would have gone back home, but I was waiting for my dad who offended and made me run away from home, to call me.”
Only her mother was said to have called her and often sent her money, Nollywood.com gathered.
Chidinma said, “My boyfriend is Umar Idris. He is 21 years old. He asked me my age. I didn’t want to tell him my real age, so I lied I was 21.
“I lived with Idris for five months. It was within this period I discovered I was three months pregnant.
“I’m in love with Idris who works as a hair stylist.
“I have strong feelings for Idris. He didn’t treat me bad. He took me to his house, fed me and bought clothes for me. I don’t see my sleeping with him as paying him. I’m ready to marry him. I don’t think my parents will say no to our marriage,” Chidinma said.
