Abike Dabiri-Erewa to NiDCOM Staff: Be Ready for Challenges Ahead

A Five-Day Induction Course for Staff of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NIDCOM) has ended in Abuja with a call on the staff to gird up their loins for the task ahead.

The Chairman/CEO, Hon Abike Dabiri-Erewa implored members that the Training and Re-training of staff is sine-qua-non to productivity and excellence.

She stressed that the Commission is ready to work with all the staff by identifying their individual strengths and weaknesses.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Commission, Dr. Sule Yakubu Bassi urged the staff to put in their best and build their career aligning with the mission and vission of the Commission.

The Induction programme later broke into Technical sessions with experts spotlighting on NiDCOM’s Administrative Structure Component, Peoples Element/Managing people, importance of the National Diaspora Policy among others.

The Induction also looked at the Diaspora phenomenon putting into perspectives defining a Nigerian Diasporan as a migrant living legitimately and legally continuously at least for one year, holder of Nigerian passport, with a verifiable address and contributing to National Development.
