The National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, (ALGON), Hon. Kolade Alabi David has approved the appointment of Hon. Itiako Ikpokpo, (ksm), as the Chief Of Staff to the National President.
The Special Adviser on Media to the ALGON National President, Obiora Orji in a statement noted that “the appointment is in line with the present leadership’s resolve to reinvigorate the association in the daunting task of addressing issues affecting the efficiency, peace, unity, and constitutional responsibilities of the Association”.
According the statement, the appointment is with effect from Monday February 1, 2021.
The new Chief-of-Staff comes with a pedigree of accomplishment and excellent service both in the private and public sector.
He is the immediate past two time Chairman of ALGON, Delta State, and a two term Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Delta State.
The National President enjoined “all members, NEC, BOT, and staff to cooperate with the new (COS) for more robust development. The National President wishes him well in the discharge of his responsibilities”, he said.
