The sudden announcement by Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, the 2023 Campaign Director General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential aspirant, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that he has left the ruling party is causing anxiety within the APC.
Hon. Jubril was announced earlier in the year as Tinubu’s campaign DG but took to his Twitter handle to announce his decision to quit the party platform of the aspirant.
According to the Kano Politician, he would be announcing his new party in the next 24 hours.
“I have done my best for APC. Its time to move on. I will announce my new political party within the next 24 hours insha Allah. I will make a formal statement in due course. Hon Abdulmumin Jibrin.”
The development has been given various interpretations, including a possibility that the All Progressives Congress national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu may quit the party and Hon. Jibrin had to serve as a forerunner.
