In a special goodwill message from the office of the National Youth Leader of Labour Party (LP), Comrade Eragbe Anselm, the party has reminded Nigerians that meeting collective national expectations as citizens will be determined by the choices the people make in the forthcoming general elections in 2023.
The Youth Leader, who is also the Edo North 2023 Senatorial Candidate of the party in Edo State, spoke in his September, 2022 message saying that the “good LORD has again presented us, with yet another golden opportunity, to contribute our quota to nation building and posterity.”
“Our desires is to engender massive job creation and wealth generation for our people in the Federal Republic of Nigeria”, he said.
According to the Edo North Senatorial Candidate, “this new month, will no doubt, herald the beginning of the 2023 general electioneering and political campaigns beginning on 28th, in a long and tortuous political exercise, that will remind us of the reality of the grim situation we are faced with as a people and nation.
“The spate of inflation and poverty in the land, unwarranted hunger, incessant insecurity, ASUU strikes and the near total collapse of our institutions and economy currency and the decline in the purchasing power of the Naira are pointers to the need for electing people with proven capacity and integrity to lead Nigeria 2023 beginning.
“The Nigerian voters are enjoined to once again uphold more vehemently, their right to decide who will lead them in 2023 through the instrumentality of the ballot papers by voting wisely.
“Interestingly, the expected release of the UNDP Human Development Report this September, will provide us with a most significant basis to assess data about our economic conditions that will enable us in making informed electoral choices”, he said.
Speaking on behalf of the National Chairman of our great party, Barr Julius Abure, and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, Comrade Eragbe Anselm expressed profound gratitude “to all those Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora who are contributing Immensely to the actualisation of the PETER OBI-YUSUF DATTI 2023 Presidential Candidacy.
“To the youth of our great country whose creative ingenuity and energies have set the ball rolling, and to gellow Nigerians in the diaspora, I thank you for being an integral part of this nurturing process in our efforts at rebuilding the nation.
“To the support groups, CSOs, NGOs, Unions, etc, working tirelessly to bolster the party and her activities, you are the reason why Labour Party (LP) is standing tall today.
“Fellow Nigerians, while we thank you for rekindling our desires in the process for a better tomorrow, we shall continue to keep hope alive with assurances and fate our presidential candidates His Excellency Peter Obi and vice presidential candidate Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed.can call us using the “Call Us Now” button on this site.
