The state funeral for Queen Elizabeth II will be held at Westminster Abbey in London on Monday, September 19, at 11:00 a.m according to royal officials.
Buckingham Palace has also confirmed that the queen, who died on Thursday at the age of 96, will be taken to St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in west London for a committal service.
She will lie in state in Westminster Hall for four days beforehand, and mourners will be able to pay their respects.
The funeral service will be held in Westminster Abbey and she will be laid to rest in Windsor.
The Queen’s coffin will be transported from Balmoral to Holyrood House in Edinburgh on Sunday.
Princess Anne, her daughter, will accompany it on the flight to London.
