AAC Explains Why Party Candidates Were Not Fielded in Lagos

Lagos State chapter of the African Action Congress (AAC) has disclosed the reason why its National Assembly candidates were not found on the final list of candidates for the 2023 general elections recently published by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The state Chairman of the party, Ayoyinka Oni, said the party did not field Senatorial and House of Representatives candidates because it did not allow moneybags to use the platform for personal political gains.

“A lot of money bags were already lining up to use our party as the second opportunity in case they failed in their parties.

“We blocked all avenues because we don’t have such a culture,” the AAC chairman said.

INEC had recently uploaded the list of candidates for senatorial and House of Representatives to its website.
