Eid-el-Maulud: ALGON National President Hon. Kolade David Alabi Celebrates Prophet Mohammed’s Virtues, Canvasses For Stronger United Nigeria
World over, as the Muslim community marks the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SWT), the National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon Kolade David Alabi has felicitated the Muslims in Nigeria and beyond with a call for love for one another beyond religious leanings.
Alabi stated this in Lagos during a breakfast meeting with some members of the Muslim Community.
He urged Muslims to redouble their efforts in advancing the course of their faith to enable them to be at the right place and time when they will be called upon by the Almighty Allah to take up any responsibility.
He noted that Prophet Mohammed (SWT) is a perfect example of peace, whose sacrifices here on earth have remained a reference point.
He then urged all those practicing Islam to remain peaceful, law abiding in both their homes and public places.
He commended the efforts of Ulama’s, Imam, Sheiks, and all other Islamic teachers as well as scholars for continuing to make case for a peaceful, stronger and united Nigeria.
According to him, a peaceful and stronger united country is the only acceptable option for growth and development of the society.
He noted that ALGON presently represents a great example of how the unity of the country can impact positively on the Nation as there has been an obvious demonstration of love with a sense of duty, service, togetherness and progress in the Association.
He therefore prayed for Allah’s blessings upon His followers, especially those in the rural communities across the 774 Local Government Areas and Area Councils in Nigeria.
