โฆPrays for God’s Continuous Protection And Guidance
With insecurity in parts Nigeria taking frightening turn in recent times and affecting everyone, irrespective of religious, political or other divides, the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate for the Etsako Federal constituency election of Edo State, Hon. Andrew Momodu, has commiserated with the Senior Pastor of the Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleiman over attacks on his convoy the left some of his aides dead.
Hon. Momodu who visited the fiery preacher’s residence in Auchi prayed for God’s protection and guidance the Apostle as well as his family and congregation, for God to grant them the fortitude to bear their losses.
He noted that there is the urgent need for the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led Federal Government to have a firm grip of the security situation in the country and nip insecurity in the bud as expected of a sensitive and responsible government ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The PDP candidate for the Etsako Federal constituency election, visited the cleric’s octogenarian father, Elder Imoudu Suleiman, in the company of a former Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo state, Hon. Busari Yesufu, at his country home in Auchi to commiserate with him over his son’s attack.
According to reports, Apostle Suleiman’s convoy was attacked by unknown assailants on Friday 21st October, 2022 in Auchi, Edo State, wherein four (4) policemen, a driver, and a lady were killed, while the fiery preacher, Apostle Johnson Suleiman was reported to have narrowly escaped in his armoured SUV with his family.
In his comments, Hon. Busari Yesufu said that “Apostle Suleiman is an illustrious son, who has positively affected the lives of people globally, through the ministration of the Gospel.
โOne would have expected all and sundry to support him in prayers and others, and not making any attempt on his life or any member of his team.
โWhat has happened has happened but we must take solace in the fact that God shall cause the assailants to be brought to book, while we keep identifying with you in this moment of grief”, Hon. Busari Yesufu said.
The fiery preacher, Apostle Suleiman, thanked Hon. Andrew Momodu and his team, and committed his aspiration to represent Etsako Federal constituency in the hands of God.
โNothing we do to defend the human person, no matter how small, is ever unfruitful or forgotten.
โOur actions touch other lives and move other hearts in ways we can never fully understand in this world. Donโt ever underestimate the beauty and power of the witness you give in your pro-life workโ, he said.
