Coalition Of Registered Political Parties Celebrates Gov. Mbah, Urges Him To Be Magnanimous In Victory

The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Enugu State chapter, has lauded the Court of Appeal judgment which affirmed the decision of the Enugu State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal that upheld the victory of Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the March 18 governorship election in the state.

In a statement jointly signed by the state coordinator, Chief Innocent Ezeoha, the state chairman, Dr. Afam Ani and the state secretary, Barr. Ken Ikeh respectively and made available to newsmen in Enugu over the weekend, the leadership of the Coalition noted that the Court was right in upholding the genuine aspiration of NdiEnugu who voted en-mass for the PDP Governorship candidate, Dr. Peter Mbah.

The Coalition pointed out the news of the judgment delivered by the three man panel led by Hon. Justice Hassan brought eloquent jubilation in the entire state.

According to the Chairman of the Coalition, Dr. Afam Ani, “while we thank God for the victory of His Excellency Dr. Mbah, we also urge him to be magnanimous in victory.

“We call on all citizens and residents in Enugu State, irrespective of party affiliation to give the Governor and the state government the support needed to deliver on campaign promises and lead the state to higher glory”, he said.

The group recalled that the Coalition of 13 registered political parties had worked with the Governor before, during and after the election, saying it signified their “confidence in the ability and capacity of His Excellency, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to deliver on his avowed campaign promises to NdiEnugu.”
