Kogi 2023: Team MBM Congratulates Usman Ododo On His Victory

Team MBM Political Movement for Ododo/Oyibo, a group of opposition members who recently defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, has congratulated Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo on his victory at the November 11 governorship election in the state.

In a statement signed by the Convener of the grassroots political group, Mallam Bello Muhammed (MBM), Team MBM noted that the people of the state has made an unequivocal choice of continuity and consolidation of the New Direction Government through the ballots.

“We receive with great joy and excitement over the declaration of Ahmed Usman Ododo of the APC as the winner of the Kogi Governorship Election held in November 11, 2023.

“The Governorship candidate of the APC, Ahmed Usman Ododo polled 446,237 majority votes and 25% in 14 local government of the State, making him certifying the requirements of the law above the other major contenders.

“The good people of Kogi State has made an unequivocal choice of continuity and consolidation of the New Direction Government through the ballot”, the group noted.

He also stated that he is of the profound belief that the Governor-elect shall reciprocate by “delivering good governance and dividends of Democracy that will cut across the various ethnic groups that forms the State.”

MBM, as he is fondly called by his political associates, expressed his “heartfelt congratulations on the well-deserved victory of Ahmed Usman Ododo as the Kogi State Governor-elect.”

He called on the people of Kogi State irrespective of sectional or political affiliations “to rally behind the new elected governor and give him the necessary support to achieve the desired goals and success that will drive Kogi to its manifest destiny.”
