Nigerian Monarch Congratulates Donald Trump on Presidential Victory, Says He’s God-sent Amid Global Crisis
A Nigerian monarch, Hiis Royal Majesty (HRM) Eze-Igwe Williams Ezugwu, the Eze Ogbozarra III, and the Igwe of Ibagwa Opi Autonomous Community, Opi Ancient Kingdom in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria, has extended his warm congratulations to Donald Trump on his convincing win in the U.S. presidential election. Trump secured 312 electoral college votes, paving the way for his presidency.
In his congratulatory message, the monarch described Trump’s leadership as “God-sent” amidst the current global crisis. He expressed hope that Trump’s presidency would avert the looming third world war.
The Monarch also congratulated Rep. Gabe Okoye, a distinguished Nigerian-American legislator from Georgia, on his re-election. Okoye is an Enugu- born Nigerian–American Civil Engineer, who on November 8, 2022, became a legislator elect at the 2022 US midterm elections representing Georgia State and he took office on January 9, 2023 and got re-elected in the November 5, 2024 election.
He lauded Okoye’s achievements as a testament to his dedication and hard work.
As a traditional ruler, Eze-Igwe Williams Ezugwu emphasized the importance of prioritizing global peace through constitutional integration of traditional institutions into governance and security architecture. He urged world leaders to work together to ensure unity and stability.
This congratulatory message reflects the monarch’s commitment to promoting peace and cooperation among nations. Previously, he appealed for the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to promote peace in the South East region.
