Premier League leaders Liverpool will take on Paris St-Germain in the Champions League last 16, while Arsenal are set to face PSV Eindhoven and Aston Villa will compete against Club Brugge.
But the defending champions Real Madrid will play local rivals Atletico Madrid, with Bayern Munich facing Bayer Leverkusen in an all-German clash.
This will mark the first encounter between Liverpool and PSG since the 2018-19 season, when Liverpool went on to claim their sixth European title.
The winner of the Liverpool-PSG tie will meet Aston Villa or Club Brugge in the quarter-finals. Should Arsenal overcome PSV, they will face the victors between 15-time record holders Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the last eight.
The two-legged Champions League Last 16 ties are scheduled for 4-5 March and 11-12 March, 2025.
Liverpool’s face-off against the French champions PSG promises to be an exciting showdown.
PSG appeared to be on the brink of elimination before a late resurgence saw them finish 15th in the league phase. They suffered a loss to Arsenal before defeating Manchester City, leading to an all-French knockout play-off with Brest, which they won 10-0 on aggregate.
PSG boasts Ousmane Dembele, one of Europe’s top scorers this season with six goals in the competition.
If Liverpool triumphs over Luis Enrique’s side, they will face Premier League counterparts Aston Villa in April, provided Aston Villa overcomes Belgian champions Club Brugge, who finished 24th in the Champions league phase before beating Atalanta in the knockout play-offs.
Club Brugge had previously defeated Villa in the league phase, one of only two losses for Unai Emery’s team.
Arsenal’s opponents, PSV Eindhoven, are the reigning Dutch champions, having defeated a weakened Liverpool side 3-2 in January to finish 14th in the league phase.
