NFYO In Jubilant Mood As Ireti Kingibe Wins FCT Senatorial Seat, Says More Wins To Women By Maryam Aminu Having been declared winner of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) senatorial seat by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the President Nigeria Female Youth Organization (NFYO), Princess Mimi Peters, has congratulated the winner, Hajiya Ireti Kingibe. In a statement issued on Wednesday morning, in Abuja, Princess Mimi expressed joy as over the victory of Hajiya Kingibe, a Labour Party candidate. "Congratulations on your successful win in the election, I am so happy for you. I know you are the perfect choice for this position and you will work for the people". She commended the efforts of voters, especially females, who came out in their numbers to support their fellow gender, restating the readiness of the female organization's resolution to fight against the earlier cancellation of the whole area council strongholds of the female candidate (Ireti). Mimi recalled that by this time yesterday, the organization was ready to go beyond the Aba women riot if INEC had not done the right thing by preventing Ireti votes from being rigged out of the contest. Princess Mimi expressed happiness that the Senator-elect has become an incredible role model for Nigerian women and girls as well as and men and boys. She assured the incoming Senator that the female organization is strongly behind her and are always ready to work with her to fulfill her campaign promises. She wished the incoming distinguished Senator a successful leadership in her quest for the transformation of FCT and the country at large.
