*Hands over farm to son
After weeks of speculation over his delay in hitting the ground running since his swearing-in as President and Commander-in-Chief of Nigerian armed forces, Muhammadu Buhari, Sunday evening, moved into the Presidential Villa preparatory to resuming at the State House Monday.
This came almost three weeks after he took oath of office on May 29, 2017.
Sources at the Villa disclosed that security details and other staff of the Presidential Villa were on hand to receive the President, whose wife, Aisha Buhari, moved into the Villa last Thursday.
Truck loads of equipment moved into the Villa on Sunday evening ostensibly bearing the personal effects of the President, who returned to Abuja from Katsina State, at the weekend, after handing over his farm to his son, Yusuf Buhari.
Yusuf, who bears a striking similarity to his father, appeared in public for the first time a day before his father’s inauguration.
He had arrived in the country from the United Kingdom together with his father in the early hours of May 28.
The president and his vice, Yemi Osinbajo have been living outside the villa, using the Defence House in Abuja as their office since his inauguration on May 29th.
