Shocking Reaction From Prophet TB Joshua over Ban on Open Worship
Nigeria’s popular televangelist, Prophet TB Joshua has reacted to Lagos government restrictions on religious activities.
Following the spread of Coronavirus disease, otherwise known as COVID-19 virus, the Lagos State government directed Churches and Mosques, particularly, to stop gathering of crowd for their services.
The rule also stated that not more than 50 people should be seen in Churches and Mosques at one particular worship session.
The General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet TB Joshua in his reaction to the new rules, welcomed the development, knowing fully well that millions of people form his congregation every Sunday.
With the shocking reaction, he became the first Pastor to speak on the matter.
He therefore pleaded that everyone should obey the government directive.
In his words:Â “Viewers, listen to your government and obey the instructions given to you. For example, instructions concerning gathering at this time. They are authorities established by God (Romans 13).
“A good Christian is a good citizen. Whatever life brings, you are not alone. We are on our knees praying for you and your nation.
“God bless you as you obey. Jesus is Lord!”
