The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and a leading Governorship Aspirant for the 2021 Anambra State governorship election under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Uche Ekwunife has assured that if elected as the Governor of Anambra State, her government will be driven by simplicity and accessibility.

Senator Ekwunife Reveals How Her Administration will Run Anambra State GovernmentShe made this known on Thursday during a visit to the home of High Chief Chukwudi Obodoagwu (Ezeudo Akwaezikenyi) at Akwaezikenyi in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Ekwunife who was led to the home of the philantropist and community leader by a former Ihiala Local Government Chairman under APGA government and Candidate of the PDP for Ihiala I State Constituency in the 2019 general election, Hon Chibuzor Udekigbo appreciated Chief Obodoagwu for identifying with her governorship ambition.

The Street Reporters Newspaper reports that she lauded the businessman for many of his individual efforts towards ensuring that his community receives basic social amenities and extolled him for being a blessing to his community.

Senator Ekwunife described the upcoming Governorship election as an opportunity for Ndi Anambra to elect a government that will be fair, just and allow equitable distribution of resources across the State.

She noted that the next election is a chance for the PDP to take over the State and lead a government that will genuinely address the developmental needs of Ndi Anambra.

She noted that her government in addressing the developmental needs of the State, will introduce simplicity and accessibility to governance.

“I’ve always believed that the State government can be run with much more simplicity than it is today. Such approach ensures more citizen participation, guarantees the people access to government services and ensures prudent management of our limited resources”, she said.

The Senator reiterated her commitment to people-orientated governance. She further assured her host of her resolve to lead a government that will partner with various stakeholders within and outside the State to move the State forward.

On his part, Chief Obodoagwu appreciated the Senator for her giant strides in politics as well as her grassroots developmental approach in governance.

He noted that his passion for community and human capital development has made him develop interest in supporting people who have shown visible commitment to the needs of the people at the grassroots and are willing to use the instrument of governance to address the developmental needs of the people.

The community leader and philantropist while assuring the Senator of his full support, noted that he is a firm believer in the leadership capacity of women and that his private company which is being managed by a woman is doing exceedingly well under her management.

He called for more support for women who have taken the bold step to seek political offices.

On the Senator’s entourage were the member representing Anaocha I State Constituency, Hon Ebele Ejiofor, PDP State Assembly Candidate for Ihiala II in the 2019 general election, Hon Onyekachi Divine Ngobidi, Former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Henrietta Agbata, Former Accountant General of Anambra State, Mrs Helen Nwaeri, Former Chairman ASUBEB, Dr Rose Nwankwo among others.
