…Console Them over Loss Of Their Homes, Promises To Get Them Compensated

Comrade Ayodele Adewale, immediate past executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin LGA received about 290 community residents who have been displaced by the recent demolition.

The community leaders led by their coordinator Pastor Ishrael Shimayahu, and other displaced residents, Moses Kowei, Baale Oforicha, paid the emergency visit to Comrade Ayodele Adewale to intimate him on the circumstances around the demolition and prevail on him to come to their aid.

It was alleged by the affected residents that the demolition occurred because their buildings were cited along the bank of the waterways, however they had gotten permission and approval from National Inland Waterways (NIWA) who confirmed that they are rightful owners of the land they occupied and erected a sign post with a “no demolition” insignia on it.

The community leaders appealed to the good conscience of Comrade Ayodele Adewale to use his political goodwill to draw the attention of the State government to the trauma this exercise has caused to the lives of nursing mothers, children and pregnant women affected.

Comrade Ayodele Adewale also visited the scene where the demolition occurred and asked the leaders to compile all necessary documents approved by NIWA so as to help present a compassionate appeal to the Governor of Lagos State Mr Babajide Sanwo Olu.

Comrade Adewale also opined that a 5 man committee should be set up amongst the affected residents to coordinate and aid the process and he also urged youths within the community to eschew any act of hooliganism and violence capable of drawing the attention of security agents around.

The erstwhile Council Chief posited that the All Progressive Congress (APC) is a Party that cares for the wellbeing of the masses and that Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu is always ready to lend a hand of assistance to everyone in Lagos State.

Comrade Ayodele empathised with the plight of the community and promised to assign a medical doctor to care for the pregnant women for free until their time of delivery. He also took a weight off the shoulders of the nursing mothers amongst them stating that he would ensure they are registered at the Maternal and Child Care Center for proper care and attention. Comrade Adewale promised to detailed Mr. Femi Onagoruwa a very hardworking medical staff in Lagos State to follow up on this matter.

Comrade Ayodele Adewale also appealed to the people to continue to support the government of Lagos State and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the APC party.

He told them to get ready to work for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential campaign as soon as Asiwaju decides to contest for president of the federal republic of Nigeria.

He called on them to register with the Party as members in the on-going APC Party registration and re-validation exercise.

The traditional rulers, youths, and the aged were all thankful for the steps taken by Comrade Ayodele Adewale and prayed for God’s blessings upon him for coming to their rescue at a time like this.
