As the immediate past Country and West African Director of Ford Foundation and Founder of Cleen Foundation, Comrade Innocent Chukwuma begins his final home journey yesterday, Tuesday, 4th May, 2021, with the Service of Songs, held at Archbishop Vinning Memorial Cathedral Church, Oba Akinjobi Way, GRA, Ikeja, the event featured our Frontline Leader in the Civil Societies and a legal Luminary, who has been identifying with the bereaved families of Yinka Odumakin and Innocent Chukwuma, since these two incidents happened, and Barrister Femi Falana, SAN.
Others are the wives of the Governors of Lagos, Ogun and Ekiti States; Immediate past Chairman of National Human Rights’ Commission, Prof Chidi Odikanlu; Prof Pat Utomi; Barrister Ayo Obe; Dr Sylvester Odion Akaine; and other key Leaders of Civil Society Organisations and Pro-Democracy Movement that is organising the Civil Societies’ outings in honour of these 2 fallen Heroes and notable members of this same House of Common in Nigeria, among whom are Comrades Olawale Okunniyi, Convener; AWA Bamiji, Secretary; Solomon Sobade, Secretary, Content and Programme Committee; Rasheed Owonifari of KIND, Accountant and Comrade Sola Omolola Justice, member, Committee on Budget and Finance, apart from other dignitaries.
The Widow, Comrade (Mrs) Josephine Chukwuma, her Children, family’s members and Associates were equally in attendance while the Officiating Ministers of God were performing their duties in the House of God.
Today, Wednesday, 5th May, 2021 is the Commendation Service slated for 9am, at the same Venue.
Comrade AWA Bamiji, secretory of the civil societies and pro-democracy movements noted that a wake keep and funeral Service are to be held next week Wednesday, 12th May, 2021 and Thursday, 13th May, 2021, respectively, in his home town, Umuodia, Mpam, Ekwereazu, Ahiazu Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State.
