Senator Ezea Appoints Aniebo Nwamu As Media Adviser

The Senator, representing Enugu North Senatorial District, Senator  Okey Ezea has approved the appointment of Aniebo Nwamu as his Senior Special Adviser on Media.

Nwamu, a veteran journalist, has held top editorial positions in different media organisations spanning over three decades. He, at various times, worked for Newbreed, TheNews/Tempo, ThisDay, and LEADERSHIP newspapers.

At LEADERSHIP, Nwamu was at different times executive editor, managing editor, chairman of editorial board, standards director, group executive director and, lastly, managing director, the post he held until he resigned in 2014 to co-found Eyeway Publishing Limited, a media and education company.

An editor of many books, Nwamu has also written a few, including _Skilled Writing and Editing: Opportunities for Communication Professionals in Recessionary Times._

He studied Mass Communication at the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, graduating with Second Class Honours, Upper Division, in 1990. His job and self-development programmes have taken him to several countries in Europe, America and Asia.

A statement signed by a Senior Legislative Aide to the Senator, Ken Eluma Asogwa noted that the “public is hereby notified that all media enquiries and correspondence should be channeled through his office.

“This appointment takes immediate effect”, the statement added.
