Nigeria’s tourism sector has recorded another significant milestone following the appointment of renowned global tourism promoter, Amb. Engr. Phil Roberts, FCISM, FIHSD, as the Director of Tourism of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE).
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, is being hailed as a strategic move aimed at strengthening tourism-driven entrepreneurship, attracting investment, and creating sustainable opportunities for young Nigerians through the country’s expanding tourism and creative economy.
According to the announcement, the appointment is in recognition of Amb. Roberts’ outstanding contributions to tourism development, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, strategic partnerships, and national development.
Widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s foremost global tourism promoters, Roberts has built a reputation for championing initiatives that position tourism as a powerful engine for economic growth, cultural exchange, investment promotion, and sustainable national development.
