In a formal handover ceremony held on Friday, August 2, 2024, Prof. Peter Ikemefuna Ezeaku, the immediate past Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), handed over the reins to the new Dean, Prof. John Ikechukwu Eze.
During the ceremony, Prof. Ezeaku urged the new Dean to justify the confidence placed in him by the Faculty members who elected him.
He highlighted his achievements during his tenure, despite financial constraints, including the provision of infrastructural facilities. Prof. Ezeaku assured the new Dean that generating revenue would be easier with the existing facilities.
Prof. Eze, in his acceptance speech, acknowledged the invaluable contributions of his predecessor, Prof. Ezeaku, whose efforts led to the Faculty’s successes. He promised to maintain academic standards and improve infrastructural facilities.
The new Dean also solicited the cooperation of all staff members, emphasizing the importance of collective effort.
