Adada Traditional Rulers Confer Chieftaincy Honour on Barr. Ezugwu, Blesses His Candidature for LGA Polls

In a grand ceremony, the royal fathers of Adada Development Center in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area conferred the honour of Agunecheibe 1 of Nkpologu ancient kingdom on Barr. Chijioke Ezugwu, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship candidate for the October 5, 2024, Local Government Area polls.

The Adada traditional rulers, led by HRH Igwe Simeon J. Idu, also presented Barr. Ezugwu with an ọfọ staff, symbolizing chieftaincy authority, and blessed his candidature.

The ceremony, which took place at the Nkpologu Autonomous community, was attended by dignitaries, including former Council Chairman, Hon. Chukwudi Nnadozie; former Chief of Protocol Enugu State Government House, Dr. Bartholomew Ezeugwu; and the Peoples Democratic Party Chairman, Jude Okonkwo.

Igwe Idu, in his address, praised Barr. Ezugwu for his selfless services to the community, particularly in the area of insecurity.

He advised the PDP Chairmanship candidate to embrace everyone as family and work towards making peace among the people of Uzo-Uwani LGA.

Barr. Ezugwu, in his response, thanked the traditional rulers for the honour and promised to tackle insecurity effectively in Uzo-Uwani LGA.

He assured the people that his administration would bring unprecedented growth and transformation to the area, making it the food basket of the state once again.

The event marked a significant milestone in Barr. Ezugwu’s political journey, as he prepares to take on the leadership of Uzo-Uwani LGA. With the royal blessing of the Adada traditional rulers, he is poised to make a positive impact on the community if elected by the people.
