AASU Endorses Hon. Ezebunwo Ichemati for Port Harcourt Mayor, Ajikere Kinikanwo Henry for Ward 1 Councillor, Other APP Candidates

The All-Africa Students’ Union (AASU) has officially endorsed Hon. Ezebunwo Ichemati for Chairman of Port Harcourt City and Hon. Ajikere Kinikanwo Henry for Ward 1 Councillor as well as all the candidates of the Action People’s Party (APP) in the forthcoming local government area election on October 5, 2024.

“We wish to convey our endorsement of the APP Team for the LG Council Polls slated for Saturday,” stated Dr. Sabra Nazir Hussein, Special Envoy to the Presidency of AASU.

The AASU praised Hon. Ezebunwo Ichemati’s strides as incumbent Mayor, noting, “While lauding the strides of the incumbent Mayor of Port-Harcourt City – Hon. Ezebunwo Ichemati… we wish to solicit support of all PHALGA Electorates for the Duo and indeed, all Other APP Candidates in PHALGA Rivers State October 5 LG Polls.”

Hon. Ajikere Kinikanwo Henry’s impressive background in teaching, youth leadership, and development earned him the union’s commendation. “Hon. Ajikere Kinikanwo Henry is a versatile coach with a sustainable background in classroom teaching, youth leadership, and development,” Dr. Hussein highlighted.

Henry’s Kinix Grooming Academy and Kinix Students Aid Educational Centre have empowered youths in Yenagoa. “The Kinix Students Aid Educational Centre is a preparatory and entrepreneurship center that gives candidates the confidence to write and pass their examinations fearlessly,” Dr. Hussein noted.

The AASU trusts the APP team to prioritize education and drive dividends of democracy to the grassroots. “We trust that this Team will not only prioritize Education in PHALGA and entire Rivers State; but will drive Dividends of Democracy to the Grassroots to justify the essence of Local Councils,” Dr. Hussein emphasized.

In conclusion, Dr. Hussein expressed optimism about the election’s outcome. “Thank you as we anticipate positively – a resounding Victory on Saturday, please.”
