The Police Assistance Committee of Nigeria (PAC) and Association of Tradesmen and Artisans have congratulated the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd) and the Vice-President elect, Professor Yemi Osinbajo over their victory in the March 28 Presidential election.
In a statement issued in Lagos, Director-General of PAC, Dr. Martins John-Oni also greeted the national leader of All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for leading his party to victory, while kudos was also given to His Excellency, President Goodluck Jonathan who immediately allowed peace to reign in the interest of the country by congratulating the winner of the election in a rare act of magnanimity.
The PAC boss commended the President-elect in his acceptance speech where he pledged to work with those who voted for or against him or did not even vote at all as he was prepared to carry all Nigerians along in the task of Nation-building, while also appreciated the Almighty God for answering the prayers of Nigerians in ensuring that we had a peaceful and successful election.
Dr. Oni promised that the Exco-members of PAC/ATA will continue to serve this country during the tenure of the incoming President through our contribution on information/intelligent gathering and information dissemination to all security agencies which could assist them to combat crime, as we have been doing in the past two decades. The PAC expressed the hope that the new President coming with a military background will take the issue of security paramount in the affairs of the country.
