INEC Declares Ambode Lagos Governor-elect

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Akinwunmi Ambode, winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Lagos.
INEC says Ambode got 811,994 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 659,788 votes.
Agbaje has since congratulated the winner.
