The national Leadership of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), has announced the appointment of an Acting Director General (DG) of its Association, this followed the expiration of the tenure of its erstwhile DG, Mrs. Binta Adamu Bello, recently.
According to an earlier resolution of the National Executive Council (NEC) and the Board of Trustees (BOT) on the need to ensure that vacuum does not exist in administration of its national office, NEC conveyed its resolve to appoint the new Acting DG vie a letter to Barr Enekwe.
During the meeting on matters Arising, a motion was sought by the National President and was moved by ALGON Rep Ebonyi), Chief Moses Nomeh and seconded By his Delta Counterpart and the Association’s Legal Adviser Hon Victor Ebonka (ALGON Delta), both agreed that the experience, character and competence of Barrister Enekwe who has served the association as its Director Legal and Administration for years and, one time Acting Secretary General made her to be found worthy to the coveted seat.
The appointment takes immediate effect on the first instance for three months. In her acceptance speech to the NEC, Barr. Enekwe thanked them for the confidence reposed in her and pledged her continued loyalty to the Association.
