During a courtesy visit to the Minister of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musa Musawa, in Abuja, the co-founders and executives of DWL shared their vision for the sport.

The Minister expressed her delight with the organizers, acknowledging their immense potential and the significance of this partnership.

The Managing Partner of Dambe Warriors League, Mario Wamny, described the collaboration as groundbreaking, marking a crucial moment for the traditional sport. “This significant milestone marks a crucial moment for the sport of Dambe and the league, as the organization strives to expand its reach both domestically and internationally.”

Co-founders and executives of DWL, Chidi Aninya and Anthony Okeleke, shared their excitement, stating, “The endorsement of the Ministry is a dream come true. We are thrilled to announce this initial step and are incredibly excited about what the future holds.”

As the SuperFight 03 approaches, scheduled to take place at the Abuja Velodrome on September 15th, 2024, the anticipation is palpable. Tickets will go on sale on August 26th, marking a significant milestone in the journey to revitalize Nigeria’s traditional martial art.
