The Director General of Delta State Capital Territory Development Agency, Chief Patrick Ukah has cautioned contractors against delaying the Agency’s projects, warning that the state government would not accept any requests for upward reviews.
Chief Ukah made this known while flagging off construction of Leo Okonweze Street, off Ezenei Avenue and Odozi Obodo/Aninta/Anenta Street off Ezenei Avenue both in Oshimilli South Local Government Area of the state.
He said that Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has zero tolerance for shoddy jobs and warned that the State Government will not spare anybody who is in the job of delivering projects that are not of topmost quality.
He charged contractors to go back to site as any delay which will result in a demand for upward review will not be accepted.
While commending the contractors for kick starting the projects at the right time and season, he enjoined them to maintain the pace in order to deliver the right quality of work and on schedule.
The Director General said with the availability of all that was needed to have the job done, they were expected to commence work without delay, adding that there will be close monitoring till the end of the project.
He said the commencement of work on the two roads that links into villages in Asaba were testament of the fulfilment of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda for Deltans.
